Guest guest
My blood glucose has been higher than usual. I have also had cravings for sweets and greatly increased hunger. Someone on About posted the following link. It appears that stevia affects metabolism at a very basic level. ATP and NADH are the stuff that energy is made of. If the enzymes that activate them are inhibited, it is no wonder I was falling asleep. http://www.uspharmacist.com/oldformat.asp?url=newlook/files/Comp/stevia2.html & pub_id=8 & article_id=634 sle816@... wrote: stevia may affect some people's insulin levels - not sure, but that could be why you are drowsy??? Guest guest
where do you get Max 80?
Guest guest
I think there are also many stevia compounds, and some may react differently than others. I use the Max 80 which has a minimum of 80% Rebaudioside A content and none of the fillers. Rebaudioside A is the sweetest and purest tasting glycoside within the stevia leaf and has no aftertaste. As soon as I elimininated the high fructose corn syrup and started baking with the Max 80 stevia, all of my sugar cravings disappeared and I finally started to lose weight. I don't use too much though, only a couple of drops in my one decaf coffee and 1/4 teaspoon in a batch of muffins or cookies. Some of them have other fillers that could have an effect too... Judy I use stevia daily in my tea and I am far from sleepy. Of course, it may affect people in different ways, like so many things do. Stay in the know. Pulse on the new Yahoo.com. Check it out.
