Guest guest
Courage- What a heartwarming story. Just goes to show, our kids do mirror more images of us than we are aware. Gosh, that kind of scares me now...eeek. Love to you- Sandie
Guest guest
Thanks Sandie. I asked Andy about it last night after I hugged him and thanked him for doing the right thing. I thought it was a box filled with grease but apparently its a vat that they pour the grease in with a very small opening (I was concerned that a child could fall through if they jumped on the vat - kids will climb anything). Andy told me that the opening is too small for this but that someone didn't close the hatch so the bird ended up in there. He was outside with his supervisor who suggested that Andy dunk the birds head in the oil to kill it but Andy refused. Instead he got out the shovel and scooped the bird out. When he did this he also managed to cover his face, the front of his shirt and pants with oil as well. He said the poor bird - a pigeon looked like the birds from the Exon Valdis spill. He wanted to catch it to wipe it down but it took off running flapping its wings. The security guards were nice enought to lend him a clean shirt when he got cleaned up. (I noticed he had a white shirt on the other day instead of his blue uniform shirt but didn't make a connection). I'm going to personally wash the shirt for the kind security guard. Then he told me that I wasn't to be concerned if a police officer called asking for him as there was an incident at work and a report had to be written up. I braced myself and asked him why. He was going on his break with another security guard when a man walked into the buiding screaming that he had a bomb and was going to blow the buiding up (my son is a porter in a building that has some consulates there). The man then lunged for a female that had just walked passed my son and the security guard so my son decked him and down he went. They (my son, security guard and passersby) all lunged at this man then and held him till the police came. They suspect that the guy was drunk or high and hauled him away. My son's knucles are split from the punch he gave this guy as it connected on the chin and slid into his teeth. Of course I was concerned and asked him if he washed up and he told me that he did and in fact soaked his hand in floor stripper just to be sure. My, my, my...but that boy is doing some good things. I do wish he would have left this to the security guard but he said it was a quick impulse. Thank God this crazy man didn't have a bomb after all. I was concerned when he got this job because of the consulates but he told me not to worry as the place was crawling with security guards. I pray that this is the only incident. We are living in strange times indeed. Thanks for letting me get my mother worries off my chest. Courage Re: Have to share - St. Francis with kids that match > >Courage- > >What a heartwarming story. Guest guest
Thanks Kath. I wouldn't want him to touch Nasty as I'd have to rush him to the hospital to have the worlds largest tetnus shot!!!!!!!! Besides, she'd probably kill him...shes just that nasty. I am so praying Kath that I don't have to endure her crap like I did last spring/summer. If so, I'm hoping we can all put our heads together and take care of her once and for all...gosh that sounds bad...I meant take care of things that would not involve breaking the law!
