Doctor in Houston/The Woodlands

Hi,

I am a very new member of this group - 5 min ago!

Brief history:

Had my thyroid completely removed at 2 y/o due to large goiter. Have

been on Synthroid 125mcg my entire life with CLASSIC symptoms of

hypo. I finally begged enough and my internist changed the rx to

Armour only 90mg. (I mean, I don't have a thyroid to convert the T4

to T3!!!) I have a new patient consult with an endo in 12/07 - first

available was 4 mo.

Does anyone recommend a TERRIFIC thyroid specialist either in Houston

or The Woodlands area?? I'm quite desperate!

I am 29 y/o - 5'6 " and weigh about 135 lbs, although of course, this

can fluctuate DAILY which is so wierd. I have the extreme temp

changes - ALWAYS cold to where friends think I'm wierd wearing a

sweater all the time! Very dry skin/course hair - mainly: EXTREME

FATIGUE and Depression

Please help.
