Guest guest
1) In discussing how affirmations have worked for myself and my family -- the first thing I remember was when my husband lost his job to a job layoff, and we had been reading Louise Hay books, listening to Louise Hay cassette tapes before bedtime, and doing affirmations as a family on a daily basis for quite some months at the point of the job layoff. Our family's main way of doing affirmations was out loud as a whole family saying: " All is Well, Everything is Working Out for My & My Family's Highest Good, Out of Life's Experiences Only Good Will Come, We Are Safe, Wealthy, and Well. " We would say this affirmation for between 5 minutes - 10 or 15 minutes out loud together as a family. This will seem silly at first. But, it really worked! There is power in doing such a positive affirmation, and this particular affirmation covers so many different situations that a family might need help with because it is very general. The longer we did this affirmation the more we started smiling, as it was contagious, and you could really feel the power in this the longer we repeated it out loud and the more times we did this! It almost had a momentum of it's own! Even our two dogs who were laying down on the floor beside us, seemed to appreciate this affirmation being said out loud! They would get happy, but peaceful, and would wag their tails. Seriously! (I'm not making this up). Well, needless to say, ...my husband found another job in record time (less than a normal job layoff), and for a much better salary than any of his previous jobs! That was one immediate result that was tangible and easy to see for our family! There are many more examples of how affirmations have affected our family too. But, I'll have to think about it some more. Overall, our family has been more cohesive, getting along better, working together more, supporting each other, etc. To be continued later -- Joy and blessings, PJ Copyright 2007, by P.J.
