Tielyr was deemed as keto diet failure and I was basically given the option to

start felbamate or depakote. So, I am looking for opinions as to which one

would be better??

Thanks- I have to decide tomorrow!!

Hi,

We have experience with both meds.  Depakote didn't work for our daughter (3 yrs

old).  And, it made her dopey - made her do even less than she was doing so it

didn't take us long to take her off of the med.  Felbital is the one she is on

now.  She's lost 10% of her body weight on the med.  She had a honeymoon period

of low seizures and no night waking for a month..However, all has returned.  We

(today) increased her dosage to the max.  If it doesn't wipe them out, then

we're taking her off that one.

Good luck!
