To all,

Today, on the Texas Medcial Association's web site is TMA's response

to BCBS and their attempt at controlling how physicians treat their

patients. Yea, for TMA standing up for medicine and for patients in

Texas!

Here is the link www.texmed.org

Click on the info on BCBS and BlueCompare

Unfortunately, this is where insurance is going. This how our

physicians will be told how and when and where they will treat us.

Not good!

Wow! Good catch! Should we pass this on to friends, family, and other groups and encourage them to encourage the state (can you believe that I'm even saying that?) to keep it up? People with health problems are the ones most likely to respond since it's just not that important until it's happening to you! Anyway, do ya'll think it would do any good, or a waste of time? I'm pretty new to the group and in the process of moving in a couple of days, and my emails got bounced from my yahoo groups for a while, so I'm still pretty out of the loop. Although, I must say that Jan(I believe that's the correct name) really gave me a lot of information about moving to the Fort Worth area...not necessarily what i wanted to hear, but then, it may save me time, $$$, and aggravation hunting an elusive doctor that doesn't seem to exist in that area. I reallly

thought that the D/FW area was more progressive than Houston area, but from that response, I'd say it's not looking very good. I also am in need of some other good doctors if anyone might know of some, I'd appreciate the info.: pain specialist, cardiologist, gyn who believes in natural hormones, ...well, that should get me started. it's too early to be thinking about these things right now! Thanks again for passing on the info about BCBS and the state! What buggers BCBS can be...very sneaky little twits, if you ask me. Wow, that's kind of ending on a sour note...sorry. how about, have a great day?
