Weight & Reps

I've had the home gym for a week now and have gone through 4 workouts, 2

upper body and 2 lower body.

My question is what is the best way to build up the weight used during the

sets? It seems that if I start out too light, I don't hit a 5 or 6 for the

first 12. Then I add weight but by the time I get to the last 12 reps, I

can't add any more weight because I would never be able to do all 12 reps

and I end up using less weight for the final 12 than for the 6!

Here are 2 examples:

Vertical Bench Press

Reps Lbs Intensity

12 36 4

10 56 6

8 86 7

6 136 8

12 100 9 - I could not have done 12 reps with more weight

Front Deltoid Raise

Reps Lbs Intensity

12 6 5

10 10 6

8 16 7

6 22 8

12 20 10 - Again, I had to drop the weight or I never could have

done 12 reps

Any suggestions?

Thanks for all the help.
