Guest guest
EXERCISE: DAILY AFFIRMATIONS " Take one or two affirmations and write them 10 or 20 times a day. Read them aloud with enthusiasm. Make a song out of your affirmations & sing them with joy. Let your mind go over these affirmations all day long. Affirmations that are used consistently become beliefs and will always produce results, sometimes in ways that we cannot even imagine. " [Please especially read the last sentence again in the paragraph above, and let the meaning of it soak in.] " One of my beliefs is that I always have good relationships with my landlord. My last landlord in New York City was a man known to be extremely difficult, and all the tenants complained. In the five years I lived there, I saw him only three times. When I decided to move to California, I wanted to sell all my possessions and start fresh and unencumbered by the past. I began to do affirmations such as: " All my possessions are sold easily and quickly. " " The move is very simple to do. " " Everything is working in Divine Right Order. " " All is Well. " " I did not think about how difficult it would be to sell things or where I would sleep the last few nights or any other negative ideas. I just kept doing my affirmations. Well, my clients and students quickly bought all the little stuff and most of the books. I informed my landlord in a letter that I would not be renewing my lease, and to my surprise, I received a phone call from him expressing his dismay at my leaving. He offered to write a letter of recommendation to my new landlord in California and asked if he could please buy the furniture, as he had decided to rent that apartment furnished. My Higher Consciousness had put the two beliefs together in a way I could not have conceived of: " I always have good relationships with my landlord, " and " Everything will sell easily and quickly. " To the other tenants amazement, I was able to sleep in my own bed in a comfortable furnished apartment until the last moment, AND BE PAID FOR IT! I walked out with a few clothes, my juicer, my blender, my hair dryer, and my typewriter, plus a large check, and I leisurely took the train to Los Angeles. " This incredible story was written and IS TRUE, by Louise L. Hay, in her book called, " You Can Heal Your Life " published by Hay House Inc. Available through www.hayhouse.com or or your local bookstore or bookstore on the internet. ** Now, I don't know about you guys, but when I first read this story, I couldn't hardly believe it. I read it again and again, and I felt the power Louise was talking about, and I wanted to believe her, but still had my doubts. To me, it was almost TOO incredible! How in the world could all of that happen that way! Did she live a charmed life, and was one of those " lucky " people, or what?! Well, my husband, myself, and my children, started doing some of these same kinds of things through affirmations - first through little things, and then even bigger things. Guess What, we were astounded that this type of miracle worked for our family also! And, we weren't charmed, or lucky. In fact, we had had what we thought of as bad luck for many years. But to our great amazement, these affirmations worked, again and again, in many different areas of our life. I highly recommend this book, and all of Louise's books and cassette tapes, and other products, as she is an extremely wise, very inspired woman. And her products and teachings do work!! Guest guest
Dear ine, and All Affirmation Members, ine asked a very good question! " Where do I start? What if I'm so overwhelmed by so many crises that I don't know where to start working?! " PJ's answer: First off, I agree with . You start on one area by itself, and keep on working on that a bit, and then later add another area to work on. It's too hard to work on too many at one time. And which one area that you pick to work on first is up to you! I would suggest an area that brings you the most difficulty as one of the first to tackle. Or an area that you makes you want to scream, as it gets to you the most, ......that is telling you -- " Help! I can't stand this one any more! " Health is a very good area to work on if that is a problem, too. 'Cause without your good health, there isn't always a lot you can do on other things first. Or, if one is out of a job, ...then that ONE would be a good area to start with first. Use your good common sense. Do things one area at a time, if it is too overwhelming to do more than one. Realize that even if you tackle two areas at once, ...that only one area can get the most monkey grease (or attention) at one particular time. Then, you swap, and go to the other AREA. Back & forth! Also, it is good sometimes to work on one area for awhile, and then try a different area for awhile. Sometimes, that is good so that a person doesn't get TOO discouraged on that one area, especially if it isn't improving as quickly as you'd like it to. Open discussion is available if any one needs it here. Just open the topic! But I know that most people usually start fixing up the health area first since it's the most basic. Trust that helps.
