I got from some of the postings on this board how powerful it is NOT to identify with your thinking - rumor has it that YOU are not and never have been judgmental, but your thinking may be. > > > HERE I NEED HELP: > IF I think that I am not supposed to be judgmental > It might encourade me to behave diferent????????? There are many wise people who say judge not, lest ye be judged. nne on says that any judgement blocks the light in Everyday Grace - and the list goes on. So I too feel this " drive " to gently take myself to a place of clarity and awareness than one of constantly evaluating, judging, criticizing, envying, etc. > > > 2. Is that true that I am not suppose to be judgmental? > So, doing the work " wright " is keep on judging, but not > feeling bad about it? This is a great question...for me if I feel pain, I've left me and I'm in someone else's business doing what I've learned - judge, judge, judge....I accept that I'm judgemental right now - I also accept that judging only causes me pain - never pleasure. But I inquire so that I can let my story about the need to judge fade. For me I'm learning that all judgements come from my own self-hatred. I need to judge in order to be separate, be superior, inferior, HAVE an identity. > > I am confused My thinking is confused too. But I know that if I want clarity, I know where it is and I know to ask for the road back to who I really am. Thanks for your post Tami. Guest guest
Dear Tami: I saw that Jan included one of my favorite Jesus quotes in her post to you. It was, " Judge not, lest ye be judged. " My response to this quote is " Of course! Duh! " If I judge, I can ONLY judge myself. It is totally impossible for me or jou to judge anyone else! If I believe I am judging another, I am really only judging my mental concept/preception of that one, so it is really me that is being judged, not them. If I take my judgement of another and Turn It Around, I then find the Truth.
