Guest guest
has alerted me that I may have a virus. My husband and I have recently updated our Norton Anti-virus and it has caught a few trojan horse type viruses so far. I did not send an email to you . I am sending this to lbdcaregivers so you wont have to worry about me sending something to you. I will show my husband your email and hopefully he will be able to figure it out. Sorry if I caused anyone any problems. I will not send any attachments until I feel sure that I will not send any unwanted bugs. Guest guest
We've gotten several emails that have attachments from people we don't know. I don't open them just delete. The Norton Antivirus picks them up and deletes files anyway. The other problem is pop ups. It is frustrating. There is one in particular about " Paris " (the girl not the place) that always seems to show up. Recently there has been many porn sites as well. My son says that that could be a trojan horse or something...whatever that means... Kath Virus alert- and others > > > > has alerted me that I may have a virus. Guest guest
Kath, That's really interesting because for days now I've been getting this stupid message with the word (virus?) somewhere in the subject line - I never answer emails from people I don't know and never ever open attachments for those unknown either. I've been having problems downloading my email - super slow. Wonder if I've got a bug somewhere on my puter? Courage Virus alert- and others > has alerted me that I may have a virus. Guest guest
Try getting Ad-Aware, at ad-aware.com, it is a free program that cleans out all the spy-ware. Many sites send cookies to your computer that track your activities for advertising and marketing purposes, then send this information back to those sites. Others send cookies with realy bad intentions. The porn sites are very active. I am using it and my computer runs much more smoothly because it is not doing everyone else's jobs. They have updates to include new cookies and allow you to delete them. Josie
Guest guest
Kath, Are you aware that on Cnet.com you may download for free many programs, including those to stop ads and popups. The two that I used were spybot and adaware. Believe me, it was very easy, as my computer skills are meager and it has functioned very well since installation. Maybe some others will know of programs that are as good or better. Betty
