Guest guest
Hey, boy oh boy! Now, me, I know EXACTLY what a thigh lift is! That is one reason I have never contemplated having one. Oh, and thanks for the visual of Dr.K sticking his head into your pud. Great Beans! At least with mine, he just stuck his whole hand in a scooped my guts out. Look at the bright side, you are experiencing what women experience daily. Empathy, empathy, empathy. And hey, men ought to pee sitting down. Doctor says so. lol Marta who hates sharing bathrooms with men!
Guest guest
Marla; The wound vac is doing it’s job. One of the four tunnels has closed, a second is nearly closed, a third has significantly reduced in size. Only on is still huge. The vac actually hurts to have on at this point. I'm not sure why; perhaps the feeling is coming back to the area—or, some other reason. But the pain level is about a 7 on the scale. The vicodin was upped to 1 ½ at a time but that’s not really taking care of the constant pain. School is not going well. The pain makes me take the vicodin which does things to my memory. My economics class is a total joke because when the lecture is over, I can’t answer one question about the material we covered. I'm going to have to drop that class. The anthropology midterm was not good, either, because the vicodin make me “funny” all the time and I absolutely cannot remember things. The sociology class, however, is going great. My professor is really understanding of the situation (the other two professors aren’t exhibiting any compassion at all). I have my 30 page paper for sociology nearly ½ completed and it’s going well. I believe if I weren’t so exhausted all the time; it’s not tired, it’s exhausted. Also, my inability to keep food down is causing me some distress. I feel nauseated all the time and if I eat more than one or two bites of food, I end up vomiting. So there it is—the god, bad and ugly of my life at the moment. But, Marla, it could be a lot worse; there are people in much worse shape than I am. Of course, you realize that none of this would have happened if Kris had married me instead of that TEXAN!! :-) I think I need to dust off those flying monkeys! LOL Thanks for asking, my friend. It is really windy and pouring down rain. Usually, in the PNW we only have a misting of rain. But, this is a downpour. I hear it is snowing in Denver and upper NY so I should not complain too much. I still haven't heard back the results of the cat scan. I figure my PCP will call today with the results. I am sick of sleeping on the couch and coughing off and on all night. Rats, the electricity just flickered. Guess I should sign off before we get power surges. Marla DS: 2-9-
Guest guest
Jim Yea!!!! you are healing!!! Boooo!!! you are having pain!!! Have you considered talking to the doctor about changing your pain med? Something different may handle the pain better, perhaps won't mess with your memory as much, and with a little luck be easier on the tummy???? I know, it's asking a whole lot...but if you got even one of the results out of a pain med change it would help. If your doing poorly in one class, drop it so you can channel your energy where it is productive. Healing Hugs Jo
