Guest guest
lol i'm not saying my doctor is stupid. It's just ... okay examples: they find that I have a very high level of EBV (epstein barr virus) in my bloodstream. I look it up on the web. I learn that alot of the times EBV can attack that cardiovascular and neurological areas of the body. I have heart disease and seizures. Yet - my doctor never mentions this. or that alot of time EBV can lead to other diseases and syndromes (such as Chronic Fatigue, Sjogren's - based on what I read on the web anyway) so doesn't it make obvious sense to then test me for all the diseases (that fit my symptoms) that can be a result of EBV? but does she? Nooooooooooooo. or most recently (and sorry for the vent here lol) they did a slew of blood tests. found out that I seriously deficient in Vitamen D. So my doctor tells me to take a vitamen D supplement. I look Vitamen D up on the web and see all these things about how it can effect your parathryoid (which can lead to the thinning of the hair - which is what I have), it effects the kidney, intestine, immune system - but she never goes that far. she just says - take a vitamen and that's it. I mean to me - these things (the presence of EBV and the vitamen D issue) are CLUES, that point to other problems. (let's do blood tests to see how the missing vitamen D is effecting my body. I mean it would be one thing if I was perfectly healthy - but i'm not! lol. I've been sick for the last freakin' year + here, so - DO SOMETHING!!!) anyone having this issue with their doctor?
