Guest guest
Dr R.. recommended "advanced ferrochel" to me also but it has some calcium in it. Has anyone tried "Iron Complex" by Nature's life? I have to take B12 too, and this one has B12 and some other good stuff in it. It is Hematinic iron, I am not sure how good absorbed it is. I also take Feosol 45 mg and I don't have GI problem with it. Dr. recommends chelated ferrous bisglycinate, also called "advanced ferrochel." Solgar makes one called "Gentle Iron." There is a Whole Foods Chelayed Iron and also a Bluebonnet brand. Enzymatic Therapy makes one. I am currently taking Source Naturals Advanced Ferrochel. Some of these have a little vitamin C which helps with the absorption. You can find these at Whole Foods, VitaminShoppe or other online sources. In my quest for a particular shampoo, I recently started doing business with the following supplier:
Guest guest
There is nothing wrong with having calcium in an iron supplement. Contrary to popular belief, calcium does not interfere with iron unless you are talking about huge quantities.Zuljana5@... wrote: Dr R.. recommended "advanced ferrochel" to me also but it has some calcium in it. Guest guest
I take Nutraceutical Ferrochel because I have a very sensitive digestive system. I have had absolutely no problems with it. I’ve heard/read that ferrous gluconate and ferrochel are the easiest on the digestive system. Best of luck to you! -Katy From: Texas_Thyroid_Groups [mailto:Texas_Thyroid_Groups ] On Behalf Of Kim Hanson Sent: Saturday, July 08, 2006 12:13 PM To: Texas_Thyroid_Groups Subject: Iron supplements My ferritin is only 12. I'm taking a lot of Ferrous Sulfate (Slow Fe) with considerable GI distress which I'll endure if necessary. Has anyone found a more GI friendly iron?
