He has had difficulty ever since he started school. He now has melt downs at random. Usually he gets upset after performing poorly at whatever he tries to do. The most recent recent one happened at a wrestling tournament. He lost twice to the same boy. The first time he was not that upset, but after the second loss, I had to restrain him so that he wouldn't hurt himself. Several people stared, and someone even thought I was trying to choke him. Is there anyone who has had anything that worked ? I am getting frustrated with my inability to help my son. He is taking 40 mg of strattera once a day. Does anybody else have anything similar? p.s. My son has also been diagnosed ADHD and a generalized anxiety disorder. Well, you should talk to the med doc you are using. It is possible that strattera is causing more anxiety for him. Guest guest
Thanks for the info. I have used your suggestion to some degree, but sometimes intense physical activity seems to calm him as well. This is why I sometimes restrain him. Other times a food bribe will work, but not always. > > In a message dated 1/24/2006 10:01:41 AM Eastern Standard Time, > scamp238@b... writes: > > My son is 13 years old and recently diagnosed with Aspergers.
