Guest guest
I think I need to research HC. It may be just what I am missing. Thanks, . Re: sweating, hot (hydrocortisone) I did very poorly on Cytomel... I experienced excessive anxiety, inability to sleep, fits of anger and rage, hot flashes, and so forth. I also did very poorly on Armour Thyroid in the beginning, until I sawDr. who treated me with Hydrocortisone. Only with HC did the"anxiety" side effects disappear. The dose of Cytomel that caused these side effects was relatively low,5-10mcg per day. Now, I am able to tolerate 300mg of Armour (I am currently taking150mg Armour plus 100 mcg levothyroxine) without any problems. I noticed that, when I first started taking HC+Armour, if I felt apanic attack coming on I would take a dose of HC and the panic attackwould virtually disappear. Since I am unable to fly to Lubbock at this time, I am seeing a doc inHouston who is treating me with 5-10mg Prednisone. It works quitenicely, I actually tolerate it much better than HC (it doesn'taggravate my stomach as much). I would recommend, as Jan said, to have your estrogen and FSH levelschecked (because early periods are a sign of menopause--high FSHlevels indicate menopause and/or POF). I would also recommend findinga doc who is willing to treat adrenals. > Would a symptom of too much T3 in your body be feeling hot andsweating? I do this every morning until about noon and sometimes whenI go to bed. I upped my cytomel to 5 mg am and 5 mg pm. I alsonoticed worse anxiety with this increase and bad mood swings (DH sayshe doesn't like me right now). I went ahead and decreased cytomel to5 mg am but am still sweating. Can't get bloodwork for a few moredays due to holidays.> > Thanks,> > __________________________________________________>
