Guest guest
Dear Carol-- Here is a good, safe place to start if you want to learn about probiotics: http://www.pdrhealth.com/drug_info/nmdrugprofiles/nutsupdrugs/pro_0034.shtml and this, including the external links listed at the bottom: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Probiotic I've been aware of probiotics for years, but I didn't start taking them until six months ago when I had a very slight, barely noticeable " female problem. " I get mine through my acupuncturist. The " female problem " stopped within two weeks without additional substances. I feel they have improved my digestion by a small percentage, though I'm still having trouble in that area. I hope other people will respond. Best wishes-- Courtenay. --- carol77096 wrote: > > Well, let's try this 'can of worms'. I think I have > a yeast problem. Guest guest
I am starting to get an allergic reaction just reading the ingredients. I would be very nervous about taking this stuff myself. Yeasts and grains are major allergens, and I don't trust herbs to be non-goiterogenic. . . . . Why don't you ask the doc what he recommends?carol77096 wrote: Well, let's try this 'can of worms'. I think I have a yeast problem. Thinking about taking Total Immune Booster (http://www.totalimmunebooster.com/danj/). Does anyone have any experience with it? Comments? Pro? Con? Does anyone take something else they think is just as good? Thanks, Carol __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Thanks, Courtenay, I will read it right away. I have been taking acidophilus, not regularly, it's in the fridge, easily forgettable, until about a week ago. It does seem to help with the 'major digestive symptoms'. I'm now including it regularly, but feel I need more. Yes, I'm interested to hear what others think about this. Carol > > > > > Well, let's try this 'can of worms'. I think I have> > a yeast problem. Guest guest
Yes, I know, seeing the word 'yeast' in the ingredients is jarring, but I've been reading about it all day...Google Total Immune Booster. Because it's easier to ask you! :-) Carol > Well, let's try this 'can of worms'. I think I have a yeast problem. Guest guest
If you guys are talking about 'yeast infections' as dealt with so ineffectually in the gynecologist's office, the solution is 1 close of garlic, peeled and punctured a few times with a fork and inserted up against the cervix. It will come out on it's own. Just replace it when it does. It works beautifully in a few days. Teri I am starting to get an allergic reaction just reading the ingredients. Guest guest
Teri, I'm actually talking about systemic (all over) yeast. Interesting treatment though...I'm concerned I'd be walking around thinking...now where did I put that?! :-) Carol > >> > Well, let's try this 'can of worms'. I think I have a yeast problem. Guest guest
I take probiotics under the advisement of my Dr. (chiropractor) He had my blood tested. It's called intracellular vitamin analysis. Very detailed test that checks to see what my body is lacking. Before my results came back he automatically put me on Entrin Bifidus. It's enteric coated to survive the stomach acids to go to my intestines. I take one daily. He said, look at your tongue and see how white it is. I can't remember what causes it, some type of bacteria? I have a friend who actually recommended me to him, and she swears by the stuff. Guest guest
Just don't use the fork to insert it. . . . .Terijo wrote: If you guys are talking about 'yeast infections' as dealt with so ineffectually in the gynecologist's office, the solution is 1 close of garlic, peeled and punctured a few times with a fork and inserted up against the cervix. Guest guest
Of course, you understand, I had to read it twice at first, just to be sure what role the fork plays in the whole thing! :-) Carol > >> > If you guys are talking about 'yeast infections' as dealt with so> > ineffectually in the gynecologist's office, the solution is 1 close of> > garlic, peeled and punctured a few times with a fork and inserted up against> > the cervix.
