Hi -

I have kept your info. on Dr. Heard. I need to go in to see either Dr. lin or Mangal for my annual exam. I may just see Dr. Mangal and have him check this. I know the hot flashes, sweating are related to the cytomel so I do need to have estrogen and others checked. I had my FSH levels checked about 4 years ago and was not yet in early menopause.

I am very afraid of the HC and I know I can't take prednisone. I had a long term reaction to the steroids in nasonex, and there is very little of cortisone in it. Apparently, my body does not use up cortisone but stores it and then my face blows up and my cycle stops. So, I am afraid of how the HC will affect me. I am really trying to get well enough so that we can transfer our last two frozen embryos and then move on with our lives. We are now getting any younger. What do you think?

Thanks,

Re: sweating, hot

-I didn't see it was you who posted this question! Since you are in Houston, you might want to try Dr. Heard. He isOB/GYN + repro. endo and he checked me for a LOT of stuff on my firstappointment. His specialty is POF which is closely linked withHashi's. He has also done extensive research with endometriosis. MY FSH levels were borderline high which could indicate I may go intoearly menopause, not now but in the next few years (I am 27). For the mostpart he is pretty open minded. He was open to the fact that Dr. had used HC to treat Hashi'santibodies, and is letting me try prednisone for this because I toldhim that it helped.I am still a fairly new patient of his--so I can't make any definitepromises, but I will keep you updated regarding my condition. So far,I am very happy with him. > Would a symptom of too much T3 in your body be feeling hotand sweating? I do this every morning until about noon and sometimeswhen I go to bed. I upped my cytomel to 5 mg am and 5 mg pm. I alsonoticed worse anxiety with this increase and bad mood swings (DH sayshe doesn't like me right now). I went ahead and decreased cytomel to5 mg am but am still sweating. Can't get bloodwork for a few moredays due to holidays.> > Thanks,> > > __________________________________________________>
