You only use one filter for the furnace right? Your dad was not well, but he is aware of his immediate environment and tries to make sense, even of the mistakes. He takes the other patients at face value. My dad used to do the same thing. Sometimes it is hard to figure. My dad used toget mad at us when we didn't understand what made perfect sense to him. The regular pull up ones have too much elastic and it drives her crazy. You might want to look for this kind.
