Phone Calls from Mom

Hey, I've gotten this same call many times only the thank you part

was never included. I think I'd fall over dead if it was ever

acknowledged that I had ever done anything for her. She is the only

one who does for others in her eyes.

My husband wrote my mother a little note 2 1/2 weeks ago. So most of

you know what I am in for. He left it at her house with something of

hers that was left here. It said leave your daughter alone. I have

yet to hear from her. It has been nice and kept me from getting the

usual call with subtle innuendoes and the usual bit about me having

problems. I had no idea he wrote the note until days later and I

know that I will be lectured and guilted for him having done that. I

told him he didn't know what he had done. He doesn't understand why

I can't just forget her and move on.

I am relieved and sick at the same time. She has called my daughter

and now she has called my husbands cell phone and left a message for

him to call her. She'd like to talk to him she is concerned about

me.

God this will just go on and on and on because I took a stand for

what I wanted over what she wanted.
