Guest guest
Search the ModOasis archives. There was a thread awhile back about literary characters. I think there's a list somewhere on www.mental-health-today.com/bpd but I can't find it. Guest guest
Hi , I dunno about Shakespeare. Did they ever decide if he was a woman? There was some kind of controversy going on about that a decade or two ago and I never heard the end of it. Personally, my interests were more into science. But, contemporarily, BPDs include Martha , and vintage-wise there's . Plus there's lots of PD'ed actors/actresses now-a-days in Hollywood. We just need one of them to step up and be the poster person for BPD. <huh! fat chance!> - Edith ketebebe1972 wrote: > And now a really random post... > I am currently teaching Macbeth and will be directing it next > semester. Guest guest
Hi Edith. I have never heard the rumor of Shakespeare being a woman... certainly there are many historians who think he was a homosexual, but that's probably a topic for a different yahoo group , huh? No wonder she was so brilliant in " Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolfe? " Now that I think about it, her character Martha would certainly fit the BPD profile with heavy HPD as well. I performed in WAVW a few years ago as the character Honey, and now I am reminded of how often and Martha's banter reminded me of my own home. Also was one of my father's favorite movies for some reason. Pretty cool how the reflection of life on stage, screen, or page can be so enlightening at times. > > And now a really random post... > > I am currently teaching Macbeth and will be directing it next > > semester. Guest guest
> I dunno about Shakespeare. Did they ever decide if he was a woman? Such sexist nonsense! Some people just assume that a man can't write sensitively! > But, contemporarily, BPDs include Martha , and > vintage-wise there's . Did you ever see and Burton in the film " The Taming of the Shrew " ? A lovely and humorous portrait of BPD by Shakespeare, well cast in the film. - Dan
Guest guest
Thanks for the list. More to watch<g> But they forgot . When my husband and I watched that the first time about 20 years ago he said it was just like my mother (except nada does not believe in God, per se) He was right, I knew it at the time.
