Dear , I have done some detoxing and followed a " candida diet " - it helped some because you are ridding yourself of toxins and some inflammation causing things from your body but it was not in any way a cure. Some things will actually make you feel worse (as the toxins come out of you but also you can be allergic to some of those very cleansing agents that are " beneficial " ). Here is a good resource: http://curezone.com/dis/1.asp?C0=90 (excerpt from the page:) Body Cleansing (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) Now, let's start with body cleansing. Body cleansing is extremely important part of every prevention and curing program. You are guessing: " Dietary changes you made are also a form of cleansing. " But, most people need more then this, especially when it comes to liver health. Body Cleansing is even important for children. Our internal organs can hold a lot toxins, and sometimes, it is impossible to get those toxins out, without doing cleansing. Our liver can contain hundreds of intrahepatic stones. Those stones will block bile flow, and affect the bases of your health, your digestion. Another problem are parasites. You must learn as much as possible about parasites. And, don't forget also dental toxins. Let start with cleansing program. You are suppose to do cleansing in this order: 1. Bowel cleanse with parasite cleanse 2. Dental cleanup (if you can afford it) 3. Kidney Cleanse and 4. Liver cleanse. Good luck and I hope it will at least provide you with some relief (even if it's not long lasting). This past two weeks have been awful for me so I can relate to wanting some relief (and I am sure every one else dreams of it too)
Guest guest
It depends on how ill you are, but IMHO these cleanses need to be done slowly and gently.too fast can give big reactions and trigger relapse. And, some folks feel that mercury filling removal is actually more risky (in terms of getting a big toxic whack) than leaving them and taking care of them. I know I am way too sensitive for most of the packaged cleanses out there. I feel grateful that I have had an expert guide me through this (my acupuncturist/NAET person). As you say, helpful but no cure. I hope you feel better soon . Aylwin xox
Guest guest
Yes, I agree that toxins should be let out slowly because it took a while to accumulate! Most MDs don't " believe " in detoxing because they think that the liver and kidneys do a good enough job of it. I am not so sure since our bodies weren't designed to digest, assimilate, and/or get rid of these chemicals that pervade our entire planet (whether we ingest them willingly or not). I had my fillings removed and replaced a few years ago. I had mercury in my body ( & other metals) and I still do. I don't know how much of an effect it had physically but mentally I was so relieved to have them out. Maybe in a way my mental relief helped a bit (????) I also am too sensitive to packaged cleansers - pysllium is more like eating concrete mix for me (it has the completely opposite effect than it was meant to have - and I have problems enough in that regard - LOL). And I am highly allergic to " weeds " - a lot of cleansing herbs fall under that category. The one thing that worked for me was bio-feedback. For a short time (a day or two) after each treatment I has some relief - of alleries, digestive, problems. pains, etc., etc., etc... But it is sooooo expensive that I had to stop. Thanks for your feedback and I hope you are doing well (as can be expected) Softest hugs, Claudine > > It depends on how ill you are, but IMHO these cleanses need to be done > slowly and gently.too fast can give big reactions and trigger relapse. Guest guest
Hi Claudine, funny little thing, I wonder if anyone else has this? I CANNOT eat yoghurt, goat yoghurt (I can only have a little organic skim milk anyway and goat cheese), or take any kind of acidophilus etc. type supplement, even the dairy free ones, without my guts bunging up completely! Instead I eat miso and tempeh, two soy products that have beneficial gut bacteria. Luckily I am no longer allergic to soy! Psyllium has the same effect on me too. I was also totally allergic to anything green at all, so no herbs for many years. I am so grateful that I was able to take treatment (which is designed for the very sensitive) for all those allergies and sensitivities. Lucky that I was one of my practitioner’s first patents here, and saw her for a long time, she did sliding scale with me and gave me a really good price so I could do it. I am far from free from it all, but sooooo much better than before…I lived on nothing but chicken and white rice for years! Hugs right back atcha, Aylwin xo
