I hope you find positive results with Namenda, which might well

include an improvement in your sister's behavior because she might

become more aware and feel a little more in control and less paranoid

or frightened about what she doesn't perceive accurately in her

surroundings. My mother has been on it for 8 months and I found this

to be true. You don't need to feel guilty about how you feel, though.

I interpret it to mean that you'd like to have a little more control

over your situation, so, hopefully, your sister's Namenda might have

a good effect on both of you! Take Care - Deb

Hi

You know what? Sometimes you have have to tell little white lies. Tell her

that your medical pays for a caretaker when you are not there. Or that it is

free that the government pays. I had to do that with my mother and she

accepted it. I know how you feel.. been there felt that.

Regards

-Carol

Jayn, Improving memory is not necessarily " better " . You are an

incredible help to her...and this may be harder for both of you. Try

it and see what happens. YOu can always stop the therapy. Dad's

experience with Namenda was not necessarily good, although there were

no negative side effects. I have posted about it before...so if you

want further info, email me directly. Don't want to bore everyone

with with the details again. DON'T FEEL GUILTY~!~

Jayn,

So good to hear from you. Please, you do not need our forgiveness. You have

spoken what many of us have only thought in our heads and hearts, afraid to

speak the words, but feel them just the same. To deny the shadow of self only

adds to more injury. To acknowledge all of self gives a base upon which to

make choices about our thoughts and words before any action is taken. We feed

the best of us, knowing full well that the shadow lingers in the background,

waiting, hungry.

You have such a beautiful soul, Jayn, remember that please. And you are not

bad, bad, bad!!!! My heart says you are already in the grace of the Wise One.

You have my prayers that, by that grace, your spirit be lifted and you see

all the beauty within yourself.

Much love to you,

Betty
