Guest guest
Oh Courage, it brings tears to my eyes reading your post. Just tonight my dog 's legs gave out on her going up the stairs. (thank god they are carpeted) She recovered quickly and didn't fall down them but was smothered with my body hugging her. I'm so scared of her being almost 14 and having trouble yet still can be so good. God, kinda like LB. She has her good times and not so good. I think that is a great idea about a shirt of yours with your sent! It will comfort him. loves to lay on any of our clothes if they on on the floor. Even stinky shoes! Like i said before, you've got my prayers and i'm praying hard for your sweet Max. Think i'll say one right after i sent this. I am a true believer in the power of prayer. Hugs again to you and Max-(and a prayer going out now) Sharon ---- Original Message ----- From: Courage To: LBDcaregivers Sent: Tuesday, May 11, 2004 10:01 PM Subject: Re: Re: Update on Max - Courage Sharon, thanks so much for this email...made me feel great. I got to visit with Max again today and tried to get him to eat but no doing. He kept sticking his head under my armpit while I pet him and told him that I loved him and that he had to start eating soon or else he was never going to come home with me. I can't tell you how sad I am over this. He looks so miserable but I don't think he is in as much pain as he was. The people at the animal hospital told me to bring over a shirt that hasn't been cleaned yet so Max would have something with my scent on it to keep him company and maybe get him eating again. I'll try anything at this point. Thanks to all of you for letting me share my worries about Max. He is so important to me. Guest guest
Courage: I'm sure Max won't care what it is made of as long as it has " hope " in the scent. Our neighbors dog barked from 6:30 to 10:30 last night. It barks every night but the longest last night. has a hard time as he thinks something is wrong. We haven't turned on the Air yet so we have the windows open and the dog hears or sees light coming from our house and goes nuts barking. I have tried a couple of times to catch them home but they are never there. It's NOT the dogs fault. We always had house dogs and this one is always out side regardless of the weather or time of day. Poor thing. We have wood fences here and wanted to take off some boards so the dog could come over to our yard. I'm not sure of it's medical care so of course I wouldn't let him do that. Not sure he could do it anyway. Max is in our Prayers.
