My most sincere condolences on the loss of your father. My father

and I are on the earliest part of the LBD roller coaster, and I can

only imagine the difficulties you have been through. I hope happier

memories help you through the next weeks and months.

> famed " Seven Blocks of Granite. " He was Hartford College of Law

> President and Valedictorian of the Class of 1939, receiving his

> degree Cum Laude. He was admitted to the New York Bar and was a

> Special Agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He returned

to

> Connecticut in 1956 to practice law with his brother, F.

> Gallivan, Jr. in addition to working as an Arson Investigator for

the

> National Board of Fire Underwriters. Subsequently he became a

> Attorney with the Connecticut Attorneys Title Fund, retiring in

1983.

> Jack was also active in local politics in Bloomfield, serving on

> the Town Council and Town Planning and Zoning Commission. He

leaves a

> son, E. Gallivan of Rocky Hill; and daughters, Barbara Dube

> Tolland and Ellen Gallivan of Enfield; and five grandchildren
