I'm a twenty-three year old college student (almost done!) in Houston and have had hypothyroidism for almost six years. I've heard it can get passed down a maternal line, so I was surprised to find out I did have hypothyroidism. Still, my mother discovered she had hypothyroidism soon after giving birth to me, so when I found out I suffered from it, we shared it. I take Armour (120mg) and have taken Synthroid (ranged from 115-175) in the past--I can't say much for the differences between the two based on my own experiences, though I think each have helped in different ways.
