Guest guest
Carol, My father is not on Seroquel, but has a constantly drippy nose. I think it's more of a symptom of the disease than it is a side-effect of the medicine. There are lots of folks here who's LO's are always sniffly too. > Hi > I am new to this group, and not really a caregiver, but I have been > lurking here to pass information on to my sister in-law, who is > caring for her mother(my mother in-law) in her own home. Guest guest
Carol, My father has LBD. He suffers from a chronic runny nose. He is not on on Seroquel, but he is on Sinamet. If you go to the Files and read through the CCC papers, they are very informational. One place on the papers stated that a research was done on the caregivers site and found that a majority of our loved ones suffer from a chronic runny nose. Guest guest
Hello Courage My mother in law was on 50 mg at bed time and she was up several times during the night. Her Dr. just recently upped the dose to 100 mg to see if it would help her sleep through the night. Last night she woke up and said there was a man in her room from the CN railroad with a toolbelt and he crawled in bed with her... so she got up and spent the night in the rocking chair. We will see what happens over the next little while. She has a couple naps during the day, but lately has been getting up at 5:00AM. Today she had a shower and put her makeup on,,, That was a hoot,,, Black eyebrow pencil on her lips, because... she said.. that is what the people on TV wear. She was watching curling on TV and saw Colleen wearing dark red lipstick and pointed to her and said " see! " . We are wondering now if she is going colour-blind. Never a dull moment! -Carol > Hi Carol from Canada, I'm Courage from Toronto. Runny noses are very common > with this disease. Forgive me but I couldn't get over the dosage of > Seroquel. Guest guest
Hi Carol from Canada, I'm Courage from Toronto. Runny noses are very common with this disease. Forgive me but I couldn't get over the dosage of Seroquel. Is your mother especially sleepy? Guest guest
My father is not on Seroquel but has had the constant runny nose & watery eyes for a long time now. It is a symptom that goes along with LBD. Guest guest
Hi Carol My mom has a runny nose and has had one long before she started on Seroquel. I believe it is the LBD. What part of Canada are you from? Guest guest
Thanks for sharing that Carol - put a smile on my face. I hear what you say about never a dull moment. I went through the boxes of my daughters dolls when she was a weeny girl and found a doll's dress, a doll's baby bottle and a doll's pottie. When I brough them to mom she was near hysterical with happiness. I also made a diaper for one of the dolls that didn't have one and a dress for the other. Mom sat on her recliner and " fed " her babies and was just so very happy. Who am I to take this away from her? Hope things work out for your mother-in-law.
