Guest guest
Hi... I really need to look for another endo--and soon. I was going to post about my endo on the database, but I see he already has earned his spot there (see doc on Peakwood). All I can say is that I totally agree with that person's assessment, and more! I am an RN and he has actually mocked me! Can anyone recommend a doc in the northern suburbs of Houston (Spring or Humble)? Need one who will take more than 30 secs to look at a piece of paper and prescribe. Thanks!
Guest guest
, I think those doc recommends (or non-recommends) you saw were mine, unfortunately I saw Dr. Jean-Pierre in Humble, who seemed most promising until my second appt. I have listed her in the list also. Best of luck to you...and if you find a decent doc...let us all know! I finally made the drive to Webster to see Dr. Hartig. Have only seen her once and am getting ready for my first blood draw so I will update the group once I have spoken to her about the results. Guest guest
So, you were the one who saw the doc on Peakwood, eh? How does he compare to the one in Humble? I usually can work my way aroud docs' quirks, but the one on Peakwood is more than I can handle. > > > > Hi... > > > > I really need to look for another endo--and soon. Guest guest
, To be honest, I couldn't handle EITHER of them! I'm sorry, but if I come into your office time after time with the same complaints, and you ignore my desperate plea for help...I can no longer afford to put my life, job, family, and sanity at risk. At this point I really *am* desperate for a compassionate doctor who is willing to LISTEN to me and offer me an alternative to the up and down dosing of the crappy Synthroid I've been on for almost 17 years. Like I said in an earlier post, I drove the one+ hour to Webster and have hope that Dr. Hartig will be able to help me out. She's my last stop before I make the trip to Lubbock to see the much-lauded Dr. . I haven't had time to add all of the doctors I've seen to the list, but I have not found ONE doctor in the Spring area worth a darn. For the record, I've seen Benavides (now deceased, but LOVED him), Zaniewski, Elhaj, Fox, Jean-Pierre, Acosta, a few others I don't recall... So...let's hope one of us will find somebody helpful! One thing is for certain...if that person does exist, they will see a dramatic INCREASE in patients once word gets out! (Spring) > > So, you were the one who saw the doc on Peakwood, eh? Guest guest
I live in Spring and I see Jody Caldwell in Conroe. I love her and my life has greatly improved since seeing her. One of the first things she told me is I was likely Vitamin D deficient. She treats with natural hormones and a lot of women see her for thyroid and sex hormone issues. I highly recommend her and I found her at a time when she literally saved my life. Sometimes she isn't taking new patients but if you call and say that you MUST see her for thyroid issues she'll take you, but not as a primary doctor. She takes most insurance. Even though she isn't my GP she treats me for other things as they all seem to be thyroid related. She isn't an endo, but she knows hormones and thyroid and the Hell they can cause. --- wrote: > , > > To be honest, I couldn't handle EITHER of them! Guest guest
Wow...I feel a little lost now. Maybe I can persuade my PCP into working with me, even though she said she didn't feel comfortable with hyPER...She is a wonderful doc. Have you been to Choksi? (I think that is how it is spelled)... (also Spring) > > , > > To be honest, I couldn't handle EITHER of them! Guest guest
What does vitamin d have to do with the thyroid? My endo in Houston accidentally tested my vitamin D level (instead of antibodies for Graves), and I was deficient, but he said that didnt matter, most people in Houston are because they dont go outside much?? I am needing to go to a doctor that looks at the total picture, and Caldwell is on my plan, so I may try her out. It sounds like she helped you alot, so hoping she can do same for me. My doc keeps taking my synthroid does up and down to the point where I am pretty much experimenting at this point. I need help. --- Christi wrote: > I live in Spring and I see Jody Caldwell in Conroe. > I > love her and my life has greatly improved since > seeing > her. Guest guest
It is my understanding that being Vit. D definicient makes you more prone to developing some cancers and that is why it is a big deal, plus it can make you feel pretty bad. I was experiencing constant pain in my calves. I can only speak from my experience and give you my story. I think in my case Vitamin D definciency was related because I had my thyroid removed before I ever saw Dr. Caldwell. I don't truly know if that is possible, but that is my gut feeling since my calcuim levels dropped very low after my surgery. And in general if your thryoid levels aren't right, then it seems to mess with everything! There are many ladies on this site that are more educated on all this stuff than me. I do know that Dr. C helped me as I couldn't take one more day of living in what I called Synthroid Hell! I became so desperate that I switched myself to Armour. At a TSH of 15 post-surgery I wanted to die on Synthroid. I switched myself to Armour and didn't get the dose right and I had a TSH of 20, but I felt so much better. Dr. Caldwell helpmed me perfect the dose and she continues to let me stay on the regimen I have been at for over two years. Most docs would look at my TSH and lower my dose, but my heart rate and blood pressure are good and I feel good so she lets me stay there. Good luck! --- Gutierrez wrote: > What does vitamin d have to do with the thyroid? Guest guest
I added the record. Please let me know if I did it incorrectly. Is there a pharmacist record too? Jody Roberds in Conroe is the only pharmacist I allow to touch my Armour. He recommended Dr. Caldwell (because he thought I needed Armour) and carries a lot of natural products at his pharmacy, Roberd's Pharmacy. He also compounds. --- Jan wrote: > Would you please be so kind as to enter Dr. Caldwell > into the database. > > Christi wrote: It > is my understanding that being Vit.
