Guest guest
It looks like xanax could be one of the " baddies " , does anyone have any input. What does work for paranoia and anxiety? Also, what about sleeping aids. How about herbs and Melatonin? Any info one these? Thanks, Edie

Guest guest
Bob, I did the same for my Mom. I thought it was respidal(?sp) but it was Xanax. I found it the other day when I was going through some old info. I gave her 1/4 of .50 3x's a day. It smoother her out to function. I know this drug is considered a no=no, but at very low doses it helped her to live more comfortably. She was almost 89 when she passed away in '02. I had her on it the last year and a half of her life. The last year of that she was in a nh and I had to fight with them to keep her on it. They also wanted to give her a double dose and it always put her out of it. So if they wouldn't give it to her after she ate and in lower doses, it was not good. It did nothing for her mind, but it did calm her agitation. If it had bad effects on her body I was not aware of it. And she did not tolerate drugs at all. Nor did she like them. She never fought this drug. I think she knew it worked for her. Donna
