Thanks for your input. I know that Sally's dad in the UK was an avid farmer

and that Sandie's dad Merle used to swim in a pond (in Iowa) that had runoff

from some type of petro/rubber plant if memory serves me correct.

In addition to the area where Mom was raised, for years her neighbors sprayed

paraquat on the weeds around an electrified fence that separates their lands.

At that very point of separation where the chemicals were sprayed, Mom grew

the most gorgeous dahlias for more than fifteen years. Makes a person

wonder.....

Betty, I recently heard that welding is linked to PD. Pat,SC

and All

I was raised north of Fort Wayne, Indiana. The government published a statement

that they dumped by spraying chemicals over and around the Fort Wayne area years

ago. The cancer rate is so high there. It seems like everyone we knew there

either has it or died from it. Fortunately, non of my family has ever had

cancer and don't show signs of getting it but the community almost seems in a

cancer epidemic. My aunt had PD. She grew up in the same area but moved to

Fort Wayne when she got married. After retirement, she moved back to the farm

where she later died. What part did the chemicals play on the PD, we will never

know.

No, Betty, I don't. There was an article in the paper. My BIL

first told us about it. Sorry, LOL Pat,SC

Pat,

Do you have any articles on the welding and PD. If not, I'm sure I can get

down to a web search. Thanks for the feedback.
