Wow, 3 hours, thats amazing! I am sorry to hear things did not go well, thanks for the heads up, especially since I am looking for another doctor!!! am VERY upset. I rang WI and let them know; one lady, I think a pharmacist researcher, she said, told me that something isn't right because they have to have a consistent prescribing pattern to get on that list. She said that she was going to check it out with the office and find out, but will immediately take his name off the list. They better NOT send me a bill, because I will be contacting the State Board of Medical Examiners. Excuse me while I go out and bite someone. . .Amy the Redhead

The one Houston area doc who has gotten good reviews is Dr. Hartig in Webster. Gosdin wrote: Wow, 3 hours, thats amazing! Amy, I'm so sorry. Care to tell us what you said back to him? I myself would have been sputtering incoherently. Please let us know if you hear anything back from WI.

I know what you mean about wanting to bite somebody. My internet was out from midnight last night and I've been up since 4:00. It finally came back up about 7:00, just as I was about to call and try to speak to someone through clenched jaws!

Anyway, thanks for taking one for the team with Hung (I'm kind of glad that didn't work out, I can't think about 'Dr. Hung'.)

What's your next move?

Carol

Hi, Carol:

Better today than yesterday, but I'm still highly $%^ & *@#ed off.

I told him that WI gave me his name, and he said, " Oh, I don't know

how they got my name. " I let him know that I'd wasted THREE HOURS to

see him for nothing.

I put on my jacket, took my coat and papers, threw the door open so I

could leave, and surprisingly, the door hit the wall.

I rang WI, of course, who says they wouldn't have it if he didn't

have a consistent prescribing pattern. Something ain't right with

him.

FOUR drug reps came and went, and get this: they were all blonde and

dressed in black suits, 3 of the 4 had those little rolling carts. I

had a black suit on with a green shirt, and one of them had an acid

green shirt. I came SO close to asking one of them about being drug

rep and saying, " I considered doing just that, but I didn't. " If and

when I get asked, " why didn't you, " I would reply, " I have scruples. "

Never got that chance, but maybe next time.

My friend in Mesa, who found someone with WI, said that if they don't

tell you about it on the phone, it means they have been sued. Wish

I'd known THAT before--but the office staff won't tell you anything

when you call.

Dr. Hartig's office says that if you do the research and bring it,

she'll prescribe what you need. I got a lot of feedback from the

hormone group I joined, and I need to read about something called The

Wiley Protocol. Soon as I read up on that and a few other things,

I'll go see Dr. Hartig, unless I find someone else who is already up

on it.

I'm getting there. I can't stand being 65 pounds overweight, and for

the last year.

Later.

Amy

This is not unlike the docs on the Armour docfinder. Not all of them prescribe Armour.Amy wrote: Hi, Carol:Better today than yesterday, but I'm still highly $%^ & *@#ed off. My friend and coworker at work is going back to see her, I believe, this week (Hartig). She finally spoke to her by phone again, and Dr. Hartig mailed her the lab sheet, told her to pick out what labs SHE wanted run, and she did just that, with a a little coaching from me, of course. :) She did get the cortisol checked off (again), the Free thyroid hormone values, ferritin, and the like. I think she also had the serum B12 run, but not sure. There were other things. Anyway, waiting to hear back from her about it. It's got her listed on my insurance, BUT I'm going to call them and find out for sure, both parties, as soon as I get this other info back. I think Hung is "hung" with this group.

I also spoke to Dr. Hartig's office, and they said that if I'm willing to research what it is I'm asking for, she'll prescribe it for me. She's on my insurance, so as soon as I get some reading done (MORE!) I'll be making an appointment.

I got the impression Dr. Hartig was way too busy, so that was one reason I didn't go. I'll go this time, I promise!

And--no word from the Hung camp.

Comments here were that she has a very busy practice, plus I could

never seem to call when someone was there to answer the phone.

Finally, I got her office, and soon as I do some more reading, I'm

GOING.
