Guest guest
Hi Ester, I'm so sorry to hear about 's spasms. My daughter Callie is about the same age (11 months) and has also been battling infantile spasms. Callie had bottlefeeding issues, so I wanted to share what bottles worked for her. At first the only bottle I could find that worked was the Playtex Drop Ins Premium Nurser. It is the one with the clear silicone nipple (not the brown latex nipple). More recently she has also accepted the TommeeTippee Closer to Nature bottle. Both have very wide nipple bases that seem more similar to breastfeeding. Best of luck to you and . Regards, Mommy to Callie (11 months, BPP + Infantile Spasms) ________________________________ To: polymicrogyria Sent: Sun, October 31, 2010 12:36:27 AM Subject: Ketogenic Diet Hi Everyone, My son (10 months) was diagnosed with PMG, microcephaly, hearing loss and vision impairment at birth. He recently started having infantile spasms and is being admitted to the hospital on Monday to start the Keto diet. I am nervous about this since he is exclusively breastfed and will not take a bottle. I am going to try a few different bottles between now and then to see if I can get him to take something. Has anybody tried the diet with a feeding problem? Thanks, Esther
