Guest guest
fees are based on office expenses divided by time. Every office knows how much they have to make per hour to meet expenses. Expenses are salaries, benefits, insurance, rent, utilities, supplies and so forth. There are many costs that you would not anticipate as a consumer. Time is money. Every time you ask for a letter multiply that for everyone else who is asking for letters. then there is the time you spend with insurance companies. Every company has it's own rules which varies state by state. If you don't do it yourself you have to pay someone to do it. I imagine that it is very expensive to have an office in the LA area. If the rent on the building goes up everyone has to pay more. Then there is malpractice insurance which only goes up. We need to take a good look at the Health Care " system " in this country. For many people it is broken. Kathy -NNY
Guest guest
Insurance companies have us all snowed and it goes all the way up to the president and president wanna-be. Nobody is talking about the real issue of insurance expense- administrative costs. That is the easiest place to hide revenue. My wife spent over 8 hours on the phone with 4 different represenatives, a multitude of documents passed back and forth, all just to get my son to see a special needs dentist. We ended up seeing the person we wanted to see from the start. All wasted time and made-up expense. Insurance companies have decided to operate is if all doctors are criminals and that they need to be policed for everything they do. This costs much more than trusting a doctor patient relationship. They have created a convoluted beaurcracy that is so complex, it allows them to raise prices without real expenses. This is a cash cow. Until people unite with the doctors to change this, we all will continue to be ripped off and receive less than adequate care. Guest guest
60% of medical care costs go for administration. That is certainly where the bulk of my time is spent. Kathy -NNY
