Hi -

My 3 year old daughter (I think we've met) went through sleep issues

around age 2.5. She doesn't have reflux but she does have BPP. I'm not sure

whether it's a developmental age thing vs. her neurological condition. Her

neurologist said it's common at this age as kids become more aware of their

surroundings. We let her cry and it would be a long time. She slept the whole

winter in our living room in a pack n play where she would fall asleep through

anything. We just put her back upstairs in her room about 1 month ago- so far so

good. BUT- she won't sleep in a crib so she still sleeps in the pack n play but

sleeps through the night!  Hope you and are doing well. Good luck with the

sleep!

Take care

My son is 2 and makes humming sounds a lot. It is very loud and it draws a lot

of attention from people when we are out. It is lound enough that I cann't hear

when someone tries to talk to me. He does it most when he is tired but does it

at any time of the day. I have asked his neurologist about this but did not get

any answer. Are there other children in the group that do this? Is this

something that will pass with time? Is there anything I can do to help lessen

his humming or should I just let him do it? His PT brought it up to me this week

about how he seems to be doing it more as time goes by. He also covers his ears

a lot and I read an artilce about auditory sensory processing disorders. Those

were two symptoms of it, but don't know if this is just a normal part of having

neurological disorders. Thanks for reading.
