It could have been viral die-off with the Lauricidin or it may be

yeast. My sons vocal tics got better with lauricidin but do come back

if his yeast gets out of hand.

--It is hard to say. For us we needed to get throught the " viral die

off " stage. I know Dana said that her son had a hard time with it. I

did persevere and seemed to get the virus out. Did you work up slowly?

I ramped up very slowly...added a pellet only once every 3 days. It

didnt make my daughters rash go away until I got up to about 25

pellets, I didnt want to go any faster because I was afraid that her

face would completely break out. I have lyme and added it to my

regimine as I have read on my lyme list that it really helps keep

opportunistic viruses at bay for us lymies. I did notice a die off

feeling when I started it up as well.

Hi Theresa,

Have you done an ASO titer re: the strep? (A throat culture is not as reliable

an indicator.) If the ASO titer goes up, my son will worsen behaviorally;

likewise, he improves as it drops.

You might want to have your doctor order an aso titer

to see if there is a strep issue. Then you do a trial

of antibiotics if it is high.

Hi , I'm new hear, when my 11yr old get hyper from eating sweets or something

else, we give him a glass of aloe vera, (Lily Of The Valley) juice that normally

calms him down in about 15 mins, and for sleeping , you need tea chocolate

sweeting with glucose that should make them sleep right tru the nite, you can

get the tea chocolate from a caribbean store

you recommend a probiotic to use w/antibiotic as I am surewe are also dealing

w/yeast issues as well.Did you post about a book your son wrote?

Dr. Goldberg rec. kyodophilus or any other single

strain probiotic. He says they are better

tolerated--cause less allergic rxns. We get it from

gnc. It would be a good idea to purchase a gold card.

are. No, I did not post about a book my son wrote.

You must have me confused with someone else. Good

ps: My son was on emycin--333 tabs tid for over a

year, and his strep is coming down. We tried keflex

in between, but it was less effective. We are now on

our 3rd penicillin shot, which seems to bring the aso

down the quickest. It is very hard to bring down in

my son. After a year and a half, it has come down to

444, from 777.

yeast protocol.

No,I have not had her tested for pandas,I think that might be a possibility.she

stayed sick from the time she first regressed(15 Mo)w/ear

infections,throat,respiratory colds,sinus even a bad case of salmonella once

until she was about 7.She has always been a girl who loved her food,but was a

skinny little one until she was eight.we tried secretin every 6 weeks or so for

1 yr.it eliminated diarrea(sp)but thats about it.after that year she started to

gain weight..to much..I get blamed for carrying the chubby gene..

my kids all start getting chubby around age 9 or so,just like I did.she

wastested for prader willi and negative,thus far no genetic cause has been

found,but why are mainsteam Docs willing to do genetic testing and hesitant to

test for yeast,viral etc.it is frustrating

I know there is an immune link,her father has allergies and I have fibromyalgia

Low carnitine levels can be the cause of weight gain, if you are sure that the

calorie count being consumed is correct. Also, thyroid issues nay be of concern.

is going to take awhile.I wonder if the lauricidin might have activated a viral

issue but not to the degree wher it would test positive.I was told I was

allergic to penicillian by my mom but never knew if this is true.Does anyone

Strep is very hard to remove from the body, and the

body keeps having autoimmune responses to it, in

certain individuals. It's possible that lauricidin

activated an immune response. Sometimes, the

impurities in these products which are over the

counter can be a big problem to the immune system. My

sons were on large doses of vitamins as prescribed by

Pfeiffer Center, and Dr. Goldberg had us stop all of

them. The boys are now on a One A Day vitamin.
