Guest guest
Hi LoRene andMolly, Oops, I am sorry that I misunderstood Yes, I think you have a point about an infection being a bit trickier to diagnose, and then the exposure to surgery related infections/hospital stays complicates it even further. It sounds like you all have been through so much. How is Molly doing now? Half of our problem is that cannot communicate how he is feeling...so yes, it is a constant guessing game trying to figure out what is going on inside! Half the time I wonder it is me over reacting to his behaviour - I think - is this normal 2 year old behaviour? Normal PMG 2 year old behaviour? Or is he sick? So much guess work, constant vigilance - I marvel at how much I will know one day We had our little guy into the local hospital last year after Christmas with a gastrointentinal infection and as soon as we told the emergency doctor about 's PMG diagnosis - he absolutely FREAKED OUT!!! It is like he forgot the main reason we were there, dehydration, and didn't know what to do with him! That was the first experience we have had like that, we were there for about 10 hours through out the night, put through tons of blood work and x- rays that were completely unnecessary! It was HORRIBLE!!! And confusing, and scary for us - so lesson learned, next time we will drive the extra 1.5 hours to the Children's hospital where they are more comfortable dealing with a variety of disorders and run of the mill ones as well! Take care! > > > > I was wondering if any of your children was diagnosed with a > bacterial > > infection or staph infection also ..
