Guest guest
Why isn't stevia SCD legal? Lakanto is new to this country, so it may be fine for SCD, and rather wasn't studied by Elaine. In any case, although I believe fully that a diet must be done consistenly and well to be effective, I believe also that a combined approach unique to the individual child can work as well. Dr Bock's book lists 6 diets and he comments on finding the right combination of diets for your child's needs. Anyone sticking with an advanced diet in the year 2008 is a hero and has worked hard to implement and stay the course. I've known many women who do a modified version of SCD complimenting it with principles from other diets. Regardless, something that worked here was to remove anything that my son craved. We followed Body Ecology Diet and even though some foods were " legal " , if he craved it, I removed it. Though quinoa and millet are allowed, initially I didn't allow these. Follow your instincts with your unique child.
