Guest guest
Hi all From OZ Yesterday Sunday our little man was out with the family in a huge Marathon day to raise money for the Therapy Centre where he is being taught to do everything. There were full marathon runners, half marathon, 10 km runs, 5 km runs and a 5 km walk for all the families. The CPEC (ceberal palsy education center) kids and families were out in wheelchairs, on special bikes, walkers and push chairs all dressed in uniform and caps. They all got a big cheer from all present. 2 brothers on crutches raced the last 20 mts and it was a real tear jerker. Our little Torin walked some times and rode some times on his fathers shoulders. He walked accross the finish line but was much more interested in the all the balloons. The whole day raise $278000 for extensions to the centre to start training more therapists. What a wonderfull day it was woth the 4 am start for me as I was a marshell directing people to the start line or clothing storage areas. Needless to say I sleep like a log last night. People are so great here in Australia. Grandma Carol, Torin 3, PMG, Bilateral Cochlear Implants, and stuff, but the smartest little redhaired marathon walker in my heart.
