Symptoms Consistent with CFS, Fibromyalgia.....etc.....

I was just wondering if someone could tell me-I'm certainly not asking

for deeply personal details here-what the symptoms were that they

developed shortly before receiving their diagnosis. Also,I have gotten

the feeling that the general consensus in the medical community is

that these conditions that fall under the category of CFS (and

related) have a vague grouping of symptoms that can point towards many

different conditions/syndromes, therefore, making it difficult to

diagnose-what I'm wondering is, are there a certain set of

events/symptoms that seemed to help in determining what the problem

was more specifically? Just wondering. So far, I've been told I have

" chronic inflammation with low-grade fevers of unknown origin " ,

something that I consider to have been pretty much an incoherent

answer from a doctor I do not wish to see again, and, my family is

treating me like a hypocondriac. I know in my gut that something is

really not right with me, though, and that is why I continue to pursue

this. I have an appointment with a rheumatalogist

coming up towards the end of this month-I can only hope that this will

help me to get somewhere with this.

Symptoms I've been experiencing-chronic, low grade fevers, aching and

inflammation which I've been told could be due to chronic, low-grade

infection, though, not definite, aching and swelling in different

parts of the body (mainly in the neck and shoulders, though), loss of

appetite, " mind fog " , continuous fatigue, and candida infection that

does not respond to treatment.(Arthritis and lupus have been ruled

out, as well as any serious blood disorders. A short time ago, I was

told I had a zinc deficiency, I've started taking a supplement, and

this has not been brought up again since.) Okay, I will write no more

for now, for fear that it may reach novel length. : )
