Hi Kathy,

Well done on getting to the stage that you are doing the nip / tuck side of things.

I have had a mini arm tuck with Dr. Lam which I ended up being about $3,500 out of pocket. I am heading in for a fleur di lis tummy tuck in April and I will be about $7,000 out of pocket from what I can work out so far... maybe a tad more. Dr. Lam is also doing this proceedure at the San in Wahroonga.

I had one night in hospital with my underarm tuck, painful, but not excessive... it was easy enough to deal with. It was more like having barbed wire under my arms for a week or so. I then had sore upper arm muscles for a few weeks, which was annoying, but part and parcel of having any sort of surgery is a few weeks of discomfort. I am reasonably happy with the results, it is a compromise surgery as I don't have the scars down my arms, only in my armpits.

I will keep you updated as to how things go with my tummy tuck. I am really keen to get on with that, but I am waiting until the cooler weather as I will have to wear a fairly substantial garment for about 8 weeks post op.
