Carol,

I'm sooo sorry Torin is having such a hard time with his appts. That had to have

been hard for his mom AND him.

My advice is..... I'll tell you what we do. And I hope it helps. I TRY to take a

week (if possible) off a month. So Micah can be a kid and play and do his thing.

Here lately its been 3 or 4 days here and there. I asked his speech therapist a

while ago if it would be okay to take 1 week off a month and she laughed and

said, " , breaks are good. And to realize that your child needs one, makes

you a good mom " . That was said 2 years ago and since then, I've tried my hardest

to give him a break once a month. Its hard on our kids. All us parents do is

drive our kids there and sometimes hear the bad news. Other than that, our

babies are doing all the work. Best of luck to you and your family. I hope

everything gets better for you all.

Autism as well

Hi all from OZ.

Torin is so sick of hospitals and doctors that at the last Pead appointment he

let fly. Destroyed the waiting room to such an extent other parents were

offering him food and help to rescue my daughter who of course had the 4 mth old

with her. She was embarressed but could do nothing. Screaming throwing things

turning over chairs etc. Into the Drs room, everything swiped off his desk,

major melt down. Diagnosis of Autuam to add to the rest.

Little !@#$#@~!@#$ person as she turned for the door to the car, happy laughing

and smiling. He has no speach and just gets frustrated and can not do anything

but melt down.

He is now up to 18 general anesthetics with thw latest Botox and fixing the

battery in his Cochlear Implant which became misplaced. This is so unusual a

problem that there was not even a Medicare Number for the procedure.

We are pleased with the dignosis as it just adds another label for funding. It

does not change our lovely little boy, In fact we think it funny. I do not know

of any more therapy we can get but will be following that up.

YEAH for labels.

Grandma Carol, Torin 4 PMG, Deaf, Hemi, AUTISTIC(Ha Ha), and a few other things

but still my loving naughty loving happy gentle little red head.
