Hey - ahve you spoken to many plastic sugeons? One I recently saw is Dr Pennington in Macquarie St. He is recommended by the RPA Metabolic clinic and has had brilliant results

Hi All,Well I finally found a surgeon - Dr Tavakoli at the Hills.I am going to have the inverted T option, meaning I will have a scar right down the middle of my abdomen as well as the horizontal scar on the undie line - apparently, this will be required due to the excess skin I have... If I do the traditional (horizontal only) I will receive only 60% tightness, the otherway will be 90%... For $14,000 I choose 90%.

People ask me if I will be sad with the scar as I may not be able to wear a bikini... HELLOOOO, I will not be able to wear a bikini as it is now, or with 60% tightness, so no I wont be sad. LOLPeople who have never had a weight problem, just lose sight of the bigger picture - I know they mean well, but seriously when you are big enough to get the band, a bikini is not the be all and end all of feeling good about yourself.

I am as frightened as hell though - this is major surgery! I will take out a loan rather than use my savings I think, any suggestions on whether to take out a personal loan or use a medical loan?Any suggestions would be very helpful.

ThanksYo xxx

Not sure if this is an option for you, but when mum took out the loan to get my band (love you mummLOL) she found that instead of getting a personal loan she was better off getting a credit card and paying that back, the interest is lower than personal loans (she is through st. )

Hope this is an avenue you can go down

I would definitely research the interest options on personal loans,

medical loans and credit cards and see which is best for you.

I had my TT a few years ago and it is the best thing that I have ever

done for myself. You will not regret it.
