Guest guest
Hmm, I've got three dogs and three cats and haven't been cured yet. I wonder what is the matter with my dogs that they haven't got me back to 100%. Maybe they just don't want me leaving them while I go breed and train other dogs? What total nonsense. Guest guest
I have not seen this program. I'm not buying it. Having a puppy to train and let outside did not cure me. Taking care of an animal helps with depression but does not cure it. Write to Animal Planet let them know how you feel. Take care of you. Big gentle huggles. Guest guest
It is very sad that this craziness continues , I remember when one of the " Kleeber " elves had CFS. And I blame it on the CDC and CAA naming it CFS and creating an huge umbrella for any fatiguing illness to fall under and lack of educating doctors. T Very few doctors understand this disease so diagnosing anyone with fatigue becomes CFS. Also, it pretty well accepted that if you are going to get well it will be within the first five years. So if she did have it, at all, she was probably going to get well anyway. So anyone out here are within that period of time take very good care of yourselves, you could get well. I doubt the five year period is written in stone but I know the longer we are sick the less chance of recover, of course there is always the chance of a cure. They will have a break through on my 90th birthday AGH! Cathering
Guest guest
Hi Honey, well silly miracle stories abound…everyone knows one and most can’t wait to tell you LOL! It is true that sometimes my dogs keep me alive, because I HAVE to look after them! Not quite the same thing though…Never mind, Aylwin xox _____ From: CFAlliance [mailto:CFAlliance ] On Behalf Of Sent: Thursday, August 09, 2007 7:36 AM To: CFAlliance Subject: Animal Planet/ CFS I cannot believe what I just saw. Guest guest
To me that sounds like a silly made-up TV story. I don't believe all these scenarios on the reality-shows, especially the dating ones and now Animal Planet!!! How ridiulous!!!! Yes it sounds more like depression. For some people they are able to get better. That's what has happened to me, but it has never completely gone away. There's always flare-ups, anyway I call them. For the last two years even though I've tried all these things, from magnets, crystal salt lamps, saunas, homeopathy, blah, blah, blah, and I've just gotten worse which has made me more depressed so I'm playing around with herbal teas. And taking things as well as seeing a therapist for the depression associated with CFS. I think having someone sweet and kind to talk to helps.~Kulia
Guest guest
Well, I did not tell you the rest of the Animal planet story because ...frankly, I did not think you would believe me. She took her dog to nursing homes to help heal other aged people of their illnesses and her father fell ill and was in one she went to. They had told her they did not expect him to last the nite and when she got there the nurse said he had no vitals. She sat there with her dog taking the last few moments to say good bye and her dog put his head on her fathers hand. He suddenly WOKE UP With a SMILE No less or I'm not sitting here! I thought, omg how stupid do you think your viewers are? Anyway it was the DOG so that's how it ended. I am sure it will air again (they normally do) I think someone wanted to be on television! > Hmm, I've got three dogs and three cats and haven't been cured yet. Guest guest
Certainly a miraculous dog. It's kinda funny if it wasn't appealing to some misconceptions about CFS. I know a vet who had to give up his practice after coming down with CFS. It took him 15 years to get better, and I don't think there were any wonder dogs involved. Kind of makes my pets look like slackers, too, though my cats do get me out for walks every day -Alia
