Guest guest
I've wondered how accurate the ASO titer is if a child doesn't typically test high for viral/fungal titers but responds well to their therapy. I think if Dr. G thinks it would be a good idea, I'd go for at least a longer trial. Gaylen
Guest guest
, I would guess that your son has a yeast overgrowth problem, and he feels better on an antibiotic because its killing some of the yeast in his intestines. What about switching to an anti-fungal combined with pro-biotics? Guest guest
Hi Barb - Yes, some lab they do in the office. They haven't ever expounded on it for me, but I think it's along the lines of a rapid strep but w/ blood. It has come back negative a couple of times, and I told them in advance that it would, because I didn't feel the way I do when I get the mycoplasma (spacey, depressed, very ADD, and obsessive worrying). It's like my brain function is it's own lab. I will get like that for about two weeks before I notice that everything has gone downhill, the house is a wreck, I'm in my own little world, and can't seem to function... and when I 'wake up' out of it enough to realize where I'm at, I go to the doctor. Then I'll start antibiotics, and a few days into it, not even thinking about the fact that I'm on antibiotics, I'll notice that the house is clean, dinner was on time, I'm perky and energetic, and start wondering what's different - and I realize Oh Yeah! I'm on Doxycyline! This always happens! " . It's not an expectation, because I forget. I just suddenly realize how much better I'm doing and backtrack. That was a lot more than you asked! --- Barb Katsaros wrote: > , > How do you know you have mycoplasm infections every > month? Do you have bloodwork done? Just curious if > you know some other way.
