Guest guest
I can totally empathize with both of you, especially the eating junk because I'm too tired to cook!!!! I had a family gathering to go to last weekend and I had to buy new clothes which really frustrates me since I have 3 sizes of clothes packed away that I can't wear!!!! Maybe we need to start a clothing exchange, LOL!!! irsteen wrote: > > And I do have a > piece of great news that most people wouldn't understand but I > believe folks here will. Finally, yesterday at Goodwill I > found four pair of pants and am excited beyond belief. Now that I can relate to. Good for you! I'm down to one pair of trousers apart from sweat pants. I'm loathe to buy a new pair because I'm between sizes, not to mention the money. I did get 4 nice tops in the charity shop this week. So now I just need something to wear with them :-) I also realise that because I'm too tired to cook, I'm eating more rubbish than normal. I definitely feel better when I eat low carb so from today, I'm really going to try to get back to that way of eating. I get sooooo frustrated at having loads of clothes that are just too tight to be comfortable when I can't afford to buy new ones. I'm so glad you found stuff to fit. cheers Kirsteen -- I do note with interest that old women in my books become young women on the covers... this is discrimination against the chronologically gifted. -- (Terry Pratchett)
Guest guest
Hey Sandrea, I hope you will be able to bounce back quickly from your respite. How exactly does it work? Do they come to your house? and what do you do for them? How long do they stay? I am so excited for you about the Therapist and the NAET practitioner. I can't wait to hear about the NAET and if it helps. I am not familiar with the pendulum thing, but I do have a very good track record with baby predictions! Congratulations on your Thrift store score. I have been doing alot of weight fluctuation lately. I had gone up 2 sizes in less than a year, but have now been able to go down 1 so I feel alot better. I really did not like being that big. It was very uncomfortable. Take care, English Just checking in I haven't written in a while so thought I'd say hi. I am still waiting for my house to sell and to get tenants. Still really stressful from a financial perspective. I started doing respite this past weekend for a developmentally delayed guy and that went better than I expected, but required way more running around than I normally do and the stress of trying to deal with his issues for the first time. I will say that my background working with folks with brain injuries was quite a blessing to have.
Guest guest
Hey All: Yes, Thrift stores are great!!!! I keep staining my shirts when I forget to use a bib while eating!! This way if the stain doesn't come out. I can just get a new shirt!! Scored some almost new shorts this week!! :-) > > Hi Sandrea, it's always great to score at the thrift store! Guest guest
Thanks for explaining the pendulum thing. I guess I am skeptical as I am unfamiliar with the technique, but Hopefully this guy is honest and the fact that he did agree to reduce his fee so much is a blessing. I saw him yesterday and took a supermarket bag full of meds and supplements with me. Turned out I was allergic to four of my meds (one being Synthroid). Anyway, he took care of it and said bring those four back next week to make sure they are still clear. I still feel kind of like it is hocus pocus, but we'll see over time if I feel better. I also so the therapist for the first time. It is too soon to tell but I think that she may work out. She definitely did not strike a negative, just more of a neutral toward the positive. We are still doing history mainly so I will have to see how the next few visits go. The terrific thing is she is only charging $10 above what my insurance pays so that I can afford to see her. Guest guest
That's excellent Sandrea. Yes it seems a little woo-woo (this from a woman who worked as a professional psychic for 10 years LOL). But, give it a chance, it takes time for the positive effects to start showing up. For me, it's not that I am well now, but being so much less reactive to so many things, and to be able to check and clear medications, is a great benefit. I was even able to go to the dentist for the first time in over 10 years, because she pre treated me for all substances going into my mouth, and even came and did acupuncture during. Great about the therapist too, it can really help with all the s**t we deal with, not to mention any history we may be lugging around. Who has the muscles to carry it all LOL. Good luck dear. Your caring and affection mean a lot to me. Saw " Borat " last night, and it is totally politically incorrect and rude, but oh so funny!!! Good to have a laugh. Take Care my dear, and yes may we all be feeling better soon.XOX Aylwin
Guest guest
Good for you for having an outing you could enjoy (not the scan, the lunch out). And good for you getting the push chair as well. Much easier than being worn out before your visit. Any movies you recommend? Sandrea
Guest guest
Hi Sandrea, thanks! I did not pay as much for the day (crash-wise) than I would have without the chair. Movies.hmm.I saw " Little Children " (Kate Winslet) the other night and really enjoyed it. A compassionate movie. Also, " Stage Beauty " (older) with Crudup and Danes was very engaging. Also saw " Borat " - so politically incorrect (a satire though, so forgivable in my books) and just hysterical. Good to have belly laughs. Can you tell I spend a lot of time watching movies? I find it low impact (smallish TV and with brightness/contrast muted a bit) for when I cannot read, or sleep, or do anything (sigh). I'm the local vid store's biggest customer! Sounds like you are getting on with making your life a little better, good for you. Take Care, Aylwin xox
