I am so sorry to hear this. Nothing worse than being in pain

when you have children to look after, I wish I was closer to you so that

I can help you out, hang in there mate it will come could soon.

Personally I would be going bloody ape shit at this doctor and then

changing doctors if possible. Do you trust this guy to do the next

surgery on you later in the year. Please think twice about him, I am

sure there are other doctors near to you that can do this.

Also my mate if you cant vent here where can you vent? I hope it helps

to let off a bit of steam, I am now angry for you as well.

Try and keep your chin up mate

Hi

Snap, the same thing happened to me last September when my band was removed. He

left the port in and said he would take it out when I have my next surgery (went

for the sleeve) as they use that incision site to remove the redundant tummy.

Needless to say after 3 lots of opening and closing it makes for an interesting

scare.

Well 3 weeks after my band removal, I started getting pain around the port site

and you guessed, my body was starting to reject it so had to go in again to have

it removed. It was only a day procedure and I was only off work for 2 days

which was a blessing as I'd already used up my sick leave for last year and half

of this year.

I was told to have a 3 month wait between band out and sleeving to let the

stomach recover from being concetina'd by the band. In the end I waited 5

months but couldn't be happier now as my weight is finally shifting.

Hope you can get it sorted out sooner rather than later and also get some pain

relief as well.

Best wishes

Gail

have my port and tubing removed on Monday (I thought it was all taken out when I

had the op the other week, but apprently not- I mean - why? - I wasn't going to

be rebanded again), as it is inflaming my whole abdominal cavity.... so that's

now going to be a total of 5 surgeries lap-band related, all when I should have

had only one. aaarrrggghhhhh.
