I didn't have the problem you do but I absolutely loved the Safety 1st Tub-side

Bath Seat! I think it's one of the best bathseats out there, I felt very safe!

Check it out, it only runs about $22. But it clamps to the side of the tub so

the seat can't slip and the back is pretty high, also the seat swivels! Hope

this helps!

Subject: Bathtub question

Yes...I am the newbie with all the questions :) So my 8 month old has low trucal

tone and some head lag problems so he isn't sitting independently yet. Also has

hypertonia in some extremities, especially an extensor reflex. My problem is

bath time. He is too big for the infant type tubs and I would really like to

find something that promotes sitting with support rather than a recliner type

tub. I tried the Bumbo seat but he goes into extensor and tries to flip himself

out of the back of the chair (silly boy). Anyone have any suggestions of types

of tubs to look for and where to find them w/out spending hundreds? Perhaps one

with a high back to stop his extensor reflex?????
