Guest guest
PMG is very hard to detect in utero, or even once a child is born because it takes a highly trained radiologist to detect brain anomolies such as PMG which can mimic normal brain patterns early in life. My son had a CT scan early on about 3 months of age and it was " normal " . It wasn't until all the missed milestones, feeding issues, and seizures started to add up which will cause them to investigate further with a lengthy MRI and then it is only detectable to the trained eye. You need a GOOD radiologist and an MRI, and unless there are other in-utero factors (like mentioned, hydrocephalus, etc.) PMG is not something that they can detect via ultrasound.
