Sounds like you have a big choice to make, and I am sure you will make the right one come the time. Thinking of you. Thanks Nic, It's 45% sleeve vs 55% RNY in my head, but the drasticness of the whole thing makes me want to run away and hide. I feel like such a failure that it has to come to this. I was so sure that I could do it with the band- whether it has been me or just that the band isn't for my stomach... I dunno. I'm in at 1pm, so I have some time to stew over it more in the morning. Thanks for the vibes, M(A)
Guest guest
Hi Sorry to hear that you are losing band no. 2. I was sleeved on 6 Feb after losing my band last September and I must say I'm finding it a lot easier to deal with even at this early stage. Had my follow up with the surgeon today and he's really pleased with my progress and I'm already moving on to more solid food at 2.5 weeks on puree. If you want to chat about it, let me know. Good luck tomorrow and also with your decision. Cheers Gail > > > Thanks Nic, > > It's 45% sleeve vs 55% RNY in my head, but the drasticness of the whole > thing makes me want to run away and hide. Guest guest
Darls, you will come to the right decision for you - and once upon a time I thought that bypass or sleeve was drastic, but since I have band #2 in place and knowing the struggle I had with no band, neither bypass or sleeve seem drastic to me now. What is drastic is my bodies inability to control itself without some sort of surgical intervention I know that I will always be reliant on some form of wls so I would go for the one that gave me the best and safest long term solution. Cant wait to hear how you are when you are up to it.
