Hello again everyone! First off thank you to those of you who responded to my

school & seizures questions! My son's supposed to start kinder next Friday, the

20th, and I get to meet his teacher(s) next Wednesday so I'll ask lots of

questions! We're gonna try it out & see how it goes, we live across the street

from the school so that's a little settling for myself but still hard! But he's

gonna love it, he loved Pre-k and needs to have time to himself and to be with

other kids too! My daughter and I could use the time alone also, it'll be good

for all of us as long as it all goes well!

So, anyways, we had my sons neurologist appt. on Tuesday and she wants to up

his phenobarbital to 12.5 mL's at bedtime & see if it stops his breakthroughs,

so we'll see how it goes? But she said if we don't see a change at all in 2

weeks, if he seems to be the same as now, we'll look at some other meds. or she

talked to me about the option of VNS Therapy?! I thought I'd seen this being

discussed here before? She said it has a 50/50 chance of working with patients

but it seems like an easy enough procedure to have a 50/50 chance of helping my

son! I'm deffinately interested but wanted to hear anyones experiences, if any,

who've gone this route and/or have had great success?! I'm very hopeful and

would appreciate anyones feedback! Again, thank you in advance for your time!!
