I am absolutely furious about the story tonight on A Current Affair regarding weight loss surgery. Moronic idiots... I have rung them and emailed them my thoughts. And Tracey Grimshaw's comments at the end were appaling in my opinion. I cannot find a link to it yet for you, but when I do I will post it. It was about a woman who had a sleeve done and unfortunately had a complication afterwards. No mention of who her surgeon was though. Very interesting to watch even though it was very negative. I do understand that she ended up having multiple surgeries which I wouldn't wish on anyone. She seemd so upset that she could only eat a chicken leg!! Isn't that what we always dreamed of. That we wouls be satisfied with a small amount of food and not feel compelled to eat the whole chicken!! And she holds up a pre-weight loss dress and happily says " I can now fit 2 of me in this dress " . Is that a bad thing? Does she talk about other health issues that banding or sleeving can eliminate? Does she mention she is more active and can move around easier now that she is 50 kgs lighter? Does she mention how much easier it is to fit into an airline seat now? At least now she doesn't dye her hair pink anymore! Unfortunately there are risks with any surgery. How many botched boob jobs and facelifts do you read about and does that stop people going through with them?
